The Spectreel is a Tidal Class dragon that imitates a dragon's worst fear.
Appearance[]
This dragon has a long, thin body with no legs or wings. It has three, small eyes and two frills on the side of its head. These frills are usually folded against its neck, however, when in danger, it flips them out to scare off predators. It has a large, web-like mouth and spikes that run down its body. It has a fin-like tail, however, a short part of the tail continues on past the fin. It varies in size and coloration based on the type of eel it is imitating.
Behavior[]
This dragon is very shy and, as such, is usually seen hiding in a school of eels. It swims similar to eels as well, moving in an S-motion. This is all based on its attempt to disguise itself as an eel for its own protection. Its temperament is different based on the type of eel it is imitating. If it imitates a bloodvein eel or a giant screaming eel, it is violent and vicious, however, when it imitates a common eel, it is much more calm and prone to fleeing when trouble comes.
Abilities[]
This dragon looks extremely similar to an eel. This is due to its attempt to protect itself from getting eaten by other dragons, as eels are known to give dragons the Eel Pox disease, which leads to uncontrollable firepower, hot skin, distorted vision, and increased hearing. Its appearance varies based on what type of eel it is imitating, which allows it to fade into a school of eels without getting noticed, giving it its name. It is even able to produce a slight electric shock in order to imitate an electric eel. However, it is vulnerable to Typhoomerangs and a group of Skrills known as Shadow Skrills, as they are immune to the Eel Pox disease and aren't afraid of eels. However, it has special frills on the sides of its head which, when it is in danger from Typhoomerang, Skrill, or other dragon attack, flip out and flash bright colors to surprise the other dragon and scare them away.
Weaknesses[]
If it strays from its eel school, it can easily be told apart from an eel and attacked. Typhoomerangs are not fooled by the disguise, due to the fact that they are immune to the Eel Pox disease and aren't afraid of eels. In addition, Spectreels living in the Mysterious Marshlands are prone to attack from a group of Skrills living there known as Shadow Skrills, as they are known to eat electric eels without suffering the effects of Eel Pox and thus aren't fooled by the disguise.
